A charming brand of shampoo for your pooch. Working with their in-house designer we took the designs and implemented a full e-commerce (including fall back payment gateways) CMS.

Cumberland Building Society

One of the largest Building Societies in the UK, Decode maintain their online presence and Intranet. Recently we launched a mobile specific website which also gave us the opportunity to work with Sarah Parmenter. With a responsive site planned next year, it’s great to work with an organisation that embraces modern methodology.

THE typography magazine. Working for Elliot Jay Stocks we built a full e-commerce CMS which included a digital content distribution system. We also helped out with the Front-End coding using media queries. The shop handles products with complex VAT, shipping rules & pre-orders.

Britvic

The Britvic Learning Zone is an educational site aimed at young teenagers explaining the soft drink production processes. We’ve also worked on a number of internal micro-sites over the past three years.

Activate

A fun one day outdoor event held in Kent for web professionals. This internal project, working along side our friend Elliot, allowed us to play with CSS3 animations and gave us the chance to use the Flickr API.

Green Mango Hair Design

A boutique hair salon based in Portsmouth. We were commissioned by 1721 Hours to do the build of this simple site which later including the addition of a small online store to compliment the products sold in their salon.

An exclusive range of Mens and Womens cufflinks. Working with the team right the way through from brand inception to launch, our responsibilities included development of a bespoke e-commerce platform, front end build and managing the product photography. Who doesn’t love Robots and Paper Planes?

WHAT?

We are a small team of developers who are passionate about the web.

We build and maintain both websites and applications for a wide range of companies in the UK and America. Working to the latest web standards and technologies we are starting to specialise in both online payment platforms and responsive interfaces, usually built upon our own framework.

The Decode Framework is a web development framework built on PHP. Designed to bring both structure and speed to our development processes, the framework uses the MVC design pattern and adheres to the DRY principle.

When it is time to take a break from the computer, Decode organises Activate; the outdoor activity day for web professionals. The next event will be held on 18th May 2012.

HOW

We take your ideas and work with you to turn them into fully functioning websites and web applications.

Starting each project with a brainstorming session we help evolve concepts and ensure user experience, information architecture and content strategy are all considered early on.

Working through an agile development process we look after the build keeping speed, accessibility and security in mind.

Following launch we can work with you to assess the performance and success of the system, plan and manage growth and support the architecture.

Activated.

Today we finally launched the 2011 archive site for Activate. Elliot worked his usual magic and came up with the concept of a large mosaic - fed via the Flickr API - broken up randomly by our lovely sponsors’ logos.

To avoid too many hits on the API and to keep the load time as quick as possible we have several layers of caching in place. For only a few hours work I am really happy with the result!
